Blessed Fulton J. Sheen spent his life speaking to that longing—not merely by asking whether life is worth living, but by showing us why it is.
An Invitation From Fulton Sheen
In 1965, after decades of priestly ministry, Fulton Sheen entered the quiet of his private chapel and recorded fifty remarkable lessons. There was no television studio. No elaborate production. No audience surrounding him. There was Fulton Sheen, the presence of Christ, and a lifetime of prayer, study, suffering, ministry, and love poured into words. And now, more than sixty years later, there is you.
These lessons are not simply something to watch—they are an invitation to begin a journey into questions of human dignity, freedom, conscience, suffering, love, marriage, forgiveness, prayer, death, eternity, and ultimately our relationship with God.
You do not need to be a theologian. You do not need to know all the answers. You simply need to be willing to begin.
The Journey Is Simple
Gather. Pray. Listen. Share. Life Is Worth Living is designed to be experienced in a small community—in person, online, or in a hybrid group—that meets once a week and follows the same simple rhythm.
Gather
Come together at an agreed time. You do not need a classroom or an expert instructor—only a small group of people willing to make the journey together.
Pray
Begin by asking the Holy Spirit to be present, then pray the Litany of Humility together. Before we can receive something greater than ourselves, we must first become small enough to receive it.
Listen
Listen to one of Fulton Sheen’s roughly 24-minute lessons while following the transcript. Don’t worry about perfect notes—just notice what catches your attention.

When the lesson ends, the facilitator asks one simple question. There is no test, no right answer, and no need to sound profound—just listening.

Give God Room to Work
At the beginning of the meeting, you asked the Holy Spirit to come. Now give Him room to work. The thought that touches one person may be completely different from the thought that touches another—and that is all right. Someone may say something unfinished, misunderstand something, or struggle to find the words. That is all right too. The purpose of the first conversation is not to determine who understands Fulton Sheen best. The purpose is to begin opening our hearts—to God and to one another.
Week after week, something begins to change. Strangers become companions. People begin listening differently. Conversations become deeper. Questions that were once avoided begin to be spoken aloud. That transformation rarely happens all at once—it happens one conversation, one lesson, one prayer, and one encounter at a time.
